Mechanical scratches is a linear scratch on the surface of the die casting during core-pulling and push-out.

Causes of mechanical scratches mainly include the following aspects:

  • Demoulding agent lubricity is not good, the mold temperature exceeds the adhesion temperature of demoulding agent, coating method is improper, coating quantity is not enough or lubrication is not good

  • The drawing Angle is not enough, in the case of the drawing Angle is small, the friction resistance of the drawing will be too large, and mechanical scratches will occur

  • Die processing is not good, improper operation, bruise or die cracks and other reasons.

The solution to mechanical scratches of die casting is mainly aimed at the following aspects:

  • Adjust mold temperature (set within the range of adhesive temperature of mold release agent)

  • Adjust the die casting shape and demoulding Angle

  • Fine polish the mold surface (mold facade)

  • When polishing the core and mold, it is necessary to follow the drawing direction and mold opening direction.
