There Are Four States of Liquid Metal Flow

There are four flow modes when the metal liquid fills the mold cavity: jet flow, pressure flow, re-jet flow, and supplementary metal flow.

Injection flow: In the initial stage of die casting, the molten metal passes through the inner sprue at a high speed, driven by the injection punch, and is shot straight forward, the direction of which is determined by the direction of the inner sprue. This state is called injection.

Pressure flow: Jet and jet flow are exhausted due to conflict, friction and gas resistance, and the metal liquid at the front edge of the filling cavity is pushed forward by the subsequent metal liquid. This stage is called pressure flow

Rejet flow: During the filling process of pressure flow or jet flow, if the metal liquid enters the open area of thick wall, it will leave the cavity wall again to form the jet state

Feed metal flow: Before the metal liquid at the inner gate solidifies, increase the indoor pressure and replenish the metal flow into the mold cavity.
