Aluminum alloy motor housing refers to a motor housing casted from aluminum material. However, the following problems must be considered in the manufacture of aluminum plate motor casing.
1. Certain aluminum alloys must be used within a specified period of time (usually within 6 months). During this time, its mechanical properties can be changed, and not all requirements of formability can be met.
2. When bending, special tools should be used to avoid bending marks.
3. The requirements of aluminum alloy laser cutting energy demand should be large, and shall be free from burrs and free splash surfaces.
4. Aluminum welding requires special expertise.
5. Avoid grinding aluminum chips.
The differences between a motor housing made of cast iron or aluminum die casting are as below:
1. Cast iron motor case is durable, after the start of beating, has high mechanical strength. Disadvantages: its weight is relatively heavy, easy to rust, poor heat dissipation than aluminum.
2. Aluminum die casting motor shell has beautiful appearance and good heat dissipation performances. It is not easy to rust and easy to process. But the mechanical strength is poor, the cost is high, the corresponding price is higher.
3. In terms of electrical performance, it is the same whether the motor case is cast iron or aluminum.
