Characteristics and properties of zinc alloy die casting

1. Excellent die-casting characteristics.

Zinc alloy has a higher tensile strength, yield strength, impact toughness & hardness and better elongation. Zinc alloy die castings have very smooth surfaces and it is easier to do all kinds of surface treatment.

Application of zinc alloy

1. Structural parts.

To be made as structural parts such as carburetor, pillar, lockset, gear and frame, it requires high demands for mechanical strength, dimensional precision and internal quality.

2. Decorative parts.

To be made as decorative parts such as groceries, toys, decorations, lights, watches, phone shells, metal buckles and bathroom accessories, it requires high demands for glossy surfaces and beautiful appearances.

 

Characteristics and properties of aluminum alloy die casting

1. Aluminum is a lightweight metal that can be used to make components that require less quality, such as cars, and aerospace.

2. Good thermal conductivity.

3. Good corrosion resistance.

4. With high strength and good plastic, it can be processed into various shapes.

5. The melting temperature of aluminum alloy is 660 degrees, and the production control temperature is 720 degrees.

Application of aluminum alloy

1. Automotive, motorcycle accessories; Automobile engine cylinder block, cylinder head, carburetor housing, gear pump, car chassis, brake pedal, etc..

Characteristics and properties of magnesium alloy die casting

1. Light weight and low density.Both the ratio strength and stiffness of magnesium alloy are better than that of aluminum alloy and steel.

2. Good damping performance, high vibration absorption and noise reduction.

3. No magnetism, good electromagnetic shielding performance.

4. Size stability, small changes in size due to ambient temperature

5. Good heat dissipation, second only to aluminum alloy.

6. Die casting performance is good, the minimum wall thickness of casting can be up to 0.6mm.

7. Good cutting performance.

8. Poor corrosion resistance. Oxidation occurs and surface treatment is required.

9. The melting temperature of magnesium alloy is 650 degrees.

 

Types and application of magnesium alloy

1. AZ9: It has good casting properties and strength, is used to shape complex thin-walled parts, such as automobile, computer parts, hand tools, sports equipment, household appliances.

2. AM50/AM60: It has outstanding toughness and suction, and it has good strength and mechanical properties, mainly used for car seats, steering wheel, dashboard.

3. AM20: It has high toughness and impact strength, mainly used for parts which need high toughness.

4. AS41:It has good creep resistance at 150 degrees, and is mainly used for parts which withstand high load bearing, such as cylinder, crankcase, brake and so on.
