The surface technology of zinc alloy die casting is rich and varied, and the surface effect is very beautiful. Today let’s see together how does Sieg-Huao treat the zinc alloy die casting parts.

Zinc alloy pressure castings are typically used for high-end objects, so the market's demand for it is very large. Therefore, how to improve the quality of Sieg-Huao’s zinc-alloy die casting pieces has become an important task. In the manufacturing process of zinc alloy die casting, smooth machining and mirror machining are called surface grinding and polishing processing, which is an important process to improve the quality of zinc alloy die casting. The proper polishing method can improve the quality and performance of zinc alloy die casting parts, and further improve the quality of zinc alloy die casting products.

What kinds of polishing method are used in Sieg-Huao

  1. Mechanical polishing. Mechanical polishing mainly relies on cutting or plastic deformation of the material surface and removing the convex part of the workpiece surface to get a smooth surface polishing method. In the grinding fluid containing abrasive, the workpiece is pressed tightly on the workpiece surface for high-speed rotary motion. The ra0.008 surface roughness can be achieved by using this technology, which is the best surface roughness of all kinds of polishing methods. This method is often used in optical lens molds. Mechanical polishing is the main method of mold polishing.

  2. Chemical polishing. Chemical polishing is a process in which a material dissolves the surface of a surface in a chemical medium in order to obtain a smooth surface. This method can polish complex shapes and can polish many workpieces at the same time with high efficiency. The surface roughness obtained by chemical polishing is usually ra10.

  3. Electro-polishing. The basic principle of electrolytic polishing is the same as chemical polishing, that is, the surface is smooth by selectively dissolving the small protruding part of the surface of the material. Compared with chemical polishing, it can eliminate the influence of cathode reaction and has better effect.

  4. Ultrasonic polishing. Ultrasonic polishing is a processing method for polishing brittle and hard materials by means of ultrasonic vibration of tool section and abrasive suspension. The workpiece is put into the abrasive suspension and placed together in the ultrasonic field. The workpiece can be grounded and polished on the surface with the help of ultrasonic oscillation. Ultrasonic machining macroscopic force is small, will not cause any deformation, but the tooling production and installation are difficult.

  5. Fluid polishing. Fluid polishing relies on the fluid flow and the abrasive particles it carries to wash the surface of the workpiece to achieve the purpose of polishing. Grinding fluid power is driven by hydraulic pressure, medium mainly adopts under low pressure through the special compound with good sex (polymer materials) and mixed abrasive, abrasive silicon carbide powder can be used.

  6. Magnetic abrasive polishing. Magnetic grinding and polishing is to use magnetic abrasive to form a abrasive brush under the action of magnetic field to grind the workpiece. This method has high processing efficiency, good quality and easy control of processing conditions. The roughness of the surface can reach ra0.1 degree of roughness.

  7. Edm compound ultrasonic polishing. Combined polishing is carried out by using ultrasonic wave and special pulse power supply with high frequency and narrow pulse peak current. The corrosion of ultrasonic vibration and electric pulse simultaneously act on the surface of the workpiece, rapidly reducing its surface roughness. This is very effective for the rough surface polishing of the mould after machining by car, milling, electric spark and wire cutting.
