Because of the good liquidity and plasticity of copper, zinc, aluminum and aluminum alloy, and the casting process is made in the pressure of a pressure casting machine, the aluminum pressure cast-iron can do a lot of different shapes, and it can make a higher precision and clarity, so it greatly reduces the machining capacity of casting and the foundry allowance of copper, zinc, aluminum or aluminum alloy.

 

In addition to the requirements of the machine itself and the requirements of machining technology, the structural design of aluminum die casting shall meet the requirements of the casting process. For this reason, Sieg-Huao has concluded some references for you as the following points.

  1. The boss part on the casting shall not differ greatly from the casting body. It is best to take the same height. Several protrusions closer to the same face should preferably be a bulged protruding part.

  2. The shape of the casting shall be as simple as possible in order to facilitate the casting, and the parting surface shall be as flat as possible with the minimum number.

  3. The inner cavity of the casting shall be casted with no or little core. When the core is adopted, it shall be convenient to support, fix and vent the sand. If necessary, it shall be provided with sufficient process holes.

  4. The internal and external sides of the die casting and the reinforcing ribs should be provided with a certain degree of structural inclination in the drawing direction.


The heat treatment of automobile aluminum die casting is to control the heating temperature, heat preservation time and cooling speed according to a certain heat treatment specification, and change the structure of the alloy. The main purpose is to improve mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, machining properties and dimensional stability.


The heat treatment process of aluminum alloy die casting is as follows:


1. Annealing treatment will be heated to high temperature aluminum alloy die casting, which is about 300 ℃ or so commonly, heat preservation after a certain amount of time, along with the process known as annealing furnace cooling to room temperature. In the annealing process, the solid solution decomposes and the second phase particles aggregate, which can eliminate the inner stress of the casting, stabilize the casting size, reduce the deformation and increase the plasticity of the casting.


2. The solid solution treatment heats the casting to the highest possible temperature, close to the melting point of the eutectic, stays at that temperature for a long enough time, and then rapidly cools to maximize the dissolution of the strengthened components. This high temperature condition is fixed and stored at room temperature. This process is called solid solution treatment. Solid solution treatment can improve the strength and plasticity of casting and the corrosion resistance of alloy.
