Aluminum alloy die casting parts are mostly used in automobile, electronics, home appliances, motor, aircraft, ship and some communication industries. With the increasing demand of the market, the aluminum die casting parts will become moldy and black if they are not treated well in the process of production. What should be done if such problems occur?
Before talking about the treatment methods, we should know the reasons why aluminum alloy die castings go mouldy.
External environmental factors.
Aluminum is a reactive metal, which can be easily oxidized to black or moldy under certain temperature and humidity, which is determined by the properties of aluminum itself.
Internal factors.
After a lot of die casting and machining processes, many manufacturers don't do any cleaning work or just clean it simply with water. Remnant corrosive substances such as mold discharging agent, cutting fluid, saponification liquid and other stains will accelerate the happening of mildew.
Unreasonable process design.
The aluminum diecast parts were not handled properly after cleaning or pressure inspection, which created the conditions for the mould of aluminum alloy die casting, and accelerated the generation of mildew.
Impolitic cleaning agent.
Highly corrosive cleaning agent will result in corrosion and oxidation of die cast aluminum.
Inadequate warehousing.
Different heights of storage will cause different moldy conditions.
Good preventive methods:
Use good mold discharging agent instead of the one with vegetable fibre.
Use oil based anti-rust cutting fluid instead of the one with vegetable fibre.
Avoid storage in the open air and dust accumulation.
Wrap the cartons with stretch film from six faces to proof water.
Dry the wet products in ventilated places.
We believe that through these aspects, you will certainly have some understanding of solving method of mildew on the surface of aluminum alloy die casting.
