Especially in the automotive industry aluminum alloy castings have been widely used. After surface treatments the castings are more beautiful and more popular among consumers. Now let's go through some common surface treating methods of aluminum alloy die casting here.

Powder coating. 

Powder paint is sprayed onto the surface of work pieces by spraying equipment and will be adsorbed evenly under the electrostatic interaction to form a powder coating. The powder coating is cured by high temperature baking flow and becomes the final different kinds of powder coatings. The spraying effect of Powder coating has better sparing effect than spray painting process in mechanical strength, adhesion, corrosion resistance and aging, but lower cost at the same time. Powder coating is roughly divided into outdoor powder and indoor powder. The grain can be adjusted into various effects, such as smooth surface, sand grain, foaming, etc..

Baking varnish. 

The real baking process is aluminum alloy phosphating, spraying, and then baking, such coating is not only anti-corrosion but bright and wear resistant, not easy to fall off. In the process of manufacturing, processing and handling, the stamping parts will have grease, oxide rust, dust, rust and corrosion on the surface. If it is not removed, it will directly affect the performance and appearance of the coating, so the pretreatment plays a very important role in the coating process. Surface pretreatment process includes oil removal, water washing, rust removal, water washing, table adjustment, water washing, phosphating, washing, washing, drying. 

Oxidation treatment. 

Conductive oxidation is suitable for Aluminum alloy and anodizing for aluminum or aluminum profile. Conductive oxidation does not require electricity, but it needs to be soaked in the potion for only dozens of seconds. It is a pure chemical reaction. The color choice has true color and sky blue. Anodizing is carried out in the case of high voltage, which is an electrochemical reaction process and will usually take dozens of minutes.


Sand blasting. 

On the surface of aluminum alloy die casting part, a layer of fine sand is sprayed to enhance the friction coefficient of the contact surface, which can enhance the reliability of the connection. Coarse sand, fine sand and different types of texture are available.

Electroplating. 

Electroplating is the process by which metal or alloy is deposited on the workpiece surface by electrolysis to form a uniform, dense and cohesive metal layer. To be simple it is the change or combination of physics and chemistry. Electroplating process is generally used for the following purposes: anti-corrosion, protective decoration, anti-wear.
